You fail to realize or fail to recognize or fail to wave around your knowledge of the disgusting crimes against humanity around the world - this angers me because it scares me.
When I see people daily who have gone through such
atrocities that they are now on the other side of the world seeking
refuge and you have no idea what is happening or even where the country
is - it scares me for the future of our country.
I remember trying to explain to someone about Cambodia's recent history (Khmer Rouge) and Burma's present - someone who could really only conceive the European Holocaust and had a tiny idea about gang violence in America. What's worse- she didn't have any desire to learn.
